Applications

The 3/16” x 7/8” Mushroom Head Powers Fasteners Zamac Nailin anchor is designed for anchoring very thin and light material to normal weight concrete, hollow concrete masonry (CMU), brick masonry or natural stone.

Material Specifications

The materials used in the manufacture of the Powers Fasteners 3/16” x 7/8” Mushroom Head Zamac Nailin are steel AISI 1018 in the nail, Zamac Alloy in the body and ASTM B 633, SC1, Type III (Fe/Zn 5) in the plating of the nail.

Diameter

Installation:

  • The Powers Fasteners 3/16” x 7/8” Mushroom Head Zamac Nailin is not recommended for overhead applications.
  • Using a 3/16” diameter carbide drill bit that meets ANSI Standard B212.15, drill a hole in the base material to a minimum of 1/4” deeper than the minimum embedment depth of 3/4”. Make sure that the anchor embedment into the base material meets the minimum embedment depth of 3/4”.
  • Insert the Powers Fasteners 3/16” x 7/8” Mushroom Head Zamac Nailin through the hole in the fixture and into the hole in the base material.
  • Using a hammer, drive the nail into the anchor body. Make sure not to overdrive the nail into the anchor body and that the head of Nailin anchor is seated tightly against the surface of the fixture.
