USES
• The CONFAST® 304 Stainless Steel Wedge Anchor is used in outdoor areas where water is present.
• 304 stainless steel wedge anchors can be used in applications where the wedge anchor would come in contact with moisture, such as fence posts, mailboxes and light fixtures.
• The CONFAST® 304 Stainless Steel Wedge Anchor comes complete with 304 stainless steel nuts and washers ready to be installed.
INSTALLATION
• It is important that the CONFAST® 304 Stainless Steel Wedge Anchor never be used in brick or block base material because they are designed for use only in solid concrete.
• A hole that is the same diameter as the diameter of anchor being installed must be drilled in the concrete for the CONFAST® 304 Stainless Steel Wedge Anchor to be inserted. A carbide tipped bit must be used in a hammer drill to insure the correctly matched tolerance hole.
• When drilling into concrete for the installation of wedge anchor, a hammer drill must be used and set in the hammer and rotation mode using a carbide tip bit that meets ANSI standards.
HOLDING STRENGTH
• Holding values for the CONFAST® 304 Stainless Steel Wedge Anchor rise with the increased diameter and the length of embedment into the concrete.
• Each diameter of CONFAST® 304 Stainless Steel Wedge Anchor has a minimum depth of embedment requirement to meet minimum holding values. Embedment depth less than minimum are prohibited because the holding values may inadequate or nonexistent.
SIZES
• Available in light duty diameters of 1/4” to heavy-duty diameters of 1-1/4”, the CONFAST® 304 Stainless Steel Wedge Anchor has a wide variety of applications. The lengths vary depending on the diameter and are available from 1-3/4” to 12”.
• The 304 stainless steel CONFAST® wedge anchor comes in different lengths to accommodate different thickness of material being fastened to the concrete. The minimum length of anchor to be used for any application can be determined by adding the material thickness to the minimum embedment for the diameter being installed plus the thickness of the nut and washer.
