Installation Video
Installing a 3/8" x 1-7/8" Hex Sleeve Anchor Zinc Plated
  1. Drill a 3/8" hole into the concrete using a carbide-tipped bit that meets ANSI Standards B212.15.
  2. Drill the hole a 1/2" deeper than the anchor will penetrate the concrete, making sure the minimum embedment requirements of 1-1/4" is met.
  3. The hole can be drilled while the fixture is in place. The minimum hole in the fixture for the 3/8" x 1-7/8" Hex Sleeve Anchor Zinc Plated is 1/2".
  4. Clean the hole with a wire brush, vacuum, compressed air, or a blow-out bulb.
  5. The 3/8" x 1-7/8" Hex Sleeve Anchor Zinc Plated is manufactured and sold fully assembled with nut and washer. It is important that the nut is on the end of the threads to protect the threads when it is struck by a hammer during installation.
  6. Insert the anchor though the fixture hole and into the hole in the base material. A hammer will be required to pound the sleeve anchor into the base material until the washer and nut are tight against the fixture.
  7. Tighten the nut on the 3/8" x 1-7/8" Hex Sleeve Anchor Zinc Plated until finger tight by turning clockwise.
  8. Using a 9/16" wrench, turn the nut 2 to 4 times until snug or until the proper torque value of 15 - 18 Ft./lbs. is reached.
  9. Always use proper personal protective equipment per manufacturer's and OSHA instructions.
