Layout & Pre-Drilling
- Mark all attachment hole locations using a marker on concrete.
- Drill holes at each mark using a 1 ⅜” diameter concrete bit to a depth of 7-5/16”.
-
Initial hole cleaning: Insert the nozzle of an air compressor or air pump to the bottom of the hole and blow out debris. Repeat twice.
-
Brush hole walls: Use a metal brush to scrub the walls of each hole, loosening any residual concrete. Repeat twice.
- Final hole cleaning: use the air compressor or air pump once more to remove any remaining debris from the hole
Epoxy fill
- Install epoxy into the hole per epoxy manufacturers guidelines
Installation
- Install NBLDN2 (internal threaded port side up) into the hole using a back & forth twisting motion to ensure complete coverage of epoxy until the top of NBLDN2 is flush with concrete surface.
- Let epoxy completely cure. Follow epoxy manufacturers curing guidelines. - Install attachment into the NBLDN2 using a ¾”-10 threaded rod or bolt.
- Ensure bolt is fully seated in the port without bottoming out
- Torque to 60 ft-lbs. using a hand tool only
- Medium-strength Loctite recommended
- Do not use power tools for final tightening.
