Installation Instructions:

The NBLDN1 threaded adhesive anchor must be installed into a rigid, structural substrate that meets the project engineer’s specifications

Layout & Pre-Drilling

  • Mark all attachment hole locations
  • Drill holes at each mark using a ⅞” diameter concrete bit to a depth of 4 1/16”.
  • Hole cleaning: Insert the nozzle of an air compressor or air pump to the bottom of the hole and blow out debris. Repeat twice.

Epoxy fill

  • Install epoxy into the hole per epoxy manufacturers guidelines

Installation

  • Install NBLDN1 (internal threaded port side up) into the hole using a back & forth twisting motion to ensure complete coverage of epoxy until the top of NBLDN1 is flush with concrete surface.
  • Let epoxy completely cure. Follow epoxy manufacturers curing guidelines.
  • Install attachment into the NBLDN1 using a ⅜”-16 threaded rod or bolt.
  • Ensure bolt is fully seated in the port without bottoming out
  • Torque to 60 ft-lbs. using a hand tool only
  • Medium-strength Loctite recommended
  • Do not use power tools for final tightening.
